Rendezvous 2008
Ajax USA's 7th Rendezvous in Amsterdam, featuring
|
The Classic!
Ajax v Feyenoord 03 February 2008 Amsterdam Arena |
 |
Last season (2006-2007) was the first time in seven years that we did NOT have an organized "rendezvous" at the home of Ajax... and we hope it's the last! This year is shaping up to be special, with Ajax and Feyenoord battling PSV for supremacy in the Eredivisie. Ajax has a superior record against the Rotterdammers, especially at the ArenA. However, last season's 4-1 victory is not typical, and Feyenoord are a quality side this year; it will be anybody's game. The atmosphere of the Classic is a truly unique experience. So if you can get yourself over to Amsterdam, and can scrape together enough cash for a match ticket, join us!

Photos from previous trips, featuring (left to right) our personal tour of the ArenA, our interview with
Jari Litmanen, our group prior to Ajax-PSV game, and meeting players at training (in this case, Nicolea Mitea).
Details:
This is an informal thing; you don't need to "sign up" with Ajax USA, and you don't need to give us ANY money (ever). You get yourself to Amsterdam, and you arrange your own accomodations and match tickets. But don't worry: We can guide you through making all necessary arrangements. Depending on the number of attendees, and level of interest, Ajax USA may arrange some nice group activities (such as ArenA Day and the History Tour) and can provide a lot of guidance to make sure your visit to Amsterdam a happy one.

Then, visit the 'Rendezvous' for Ajax - Feyenoord in Feb 2008 discussion on AjaxTalk. As a next stop, visit Ajax USA's page on obtaining tickets for 'High risk' and European games (since the Classic is considered a "high risk" game).
We will post further information to this page, and to the discussion forum, as we figure them out. For now, if you're pretty sure you are going, drop an email to rendezvous@ajaxusa.com and then look into your travel plans. (NWA/KLM and Lufthansa both have great deals on flights from the US to Netherlands right now...)
